The distance between theese two ski resors is quite small, just couple kilometres, they are connected by slopes. This ski resort (association of resorts) is the best you get in South America. Location is also interresting: the resort is nearby Santiago de Chile and the way from Santiago downtown takes about one hour. You just have to pass 40 serpentines and you are in front of the first subway station (by the way the best transportation in city with over five milion people).
Despite both resorts are close one another, each has its own interresting history, its life and specifics. The most visited, escpecially by young Santiago inhabitants - is El Colorado. The reason is simple, it is the first resort on the way from Santiago and is placed exactly between the other two. Another reason is very well equiped snow park, attractive for young people..

Valle Nevado is the most „luxury“ resort from all three. Most tourists are accomodated in one of three hotels, placed exactly on the base of slopes. Hotel Valle Nevado has five „stars“ and offers amazing view to the mountain peaks.
The last - but not least - is La Parva. This - liitle bit glossed over - resort has the best and longest slopes and ski tracks from all three. It may be, that´s the reason, why this resort is coveted by national teams for summer trainings.
To summarise, in „three Chile walleays“ you will find everything you are looking for. You may be skier, who loves rush down the hill by 80 miles per hour, teenager interrested in ski jumps and „rails“, freerider using helicopter for getting the best experience in bottomless powder snow or even connoisseur who enjoys drinking red wine on the hotel terrace. And, whoever you are, you can still relish awsome settings.
